Hey im just kinda curious if the MC ever gets revenge for what the prince did to him. Im kinda tired of these 'revenge' stories where the MC doesnt ruin their enemy. It feels so utterly fake because hate, real hate, is so much stronger than that. I expect the MC to at least kill or horrifically cripple the prince if he wont go the torture route. And like what chapter do we see their revenge?
It feels a bit bland and lacking in many aspects such as their interactions, but more than makes it up by having a FL who will not grovel back to her abusers. I understand she cant be completely independent and has to rely on others (ML) but still demonstrates her taking inititive in seperating herself from her situation.
Hope the saintess can cast curses, blights, or remove some sort of divine blessing on the land, making it so every one will suffer such as famine and pestilence and all the abundance of the earth will taste like ash until they as a collective punish those who abused her. Lovely.
Kay Im not quite on board with this manga. I understand he was deprived of social interaction and lacks a lot of common sense/wisdom due to his isolation, but theres a limit to my suspension of disbelief. Seeing extremely old character act like ignorant children, not childish but children who can't use basic logic and observational skills, really disgusts me. Its character assassination. He doesnt have to be a mary sue but at least make it so that he has some awareness and reasoning.
All i want to know is what happens to the tristen family? His father and step mother? I love the revenge aspects, although it would be extremely dissapointing if he forgave them knowing his father butchered countless innocents and that woman harmed him and his mother. Having no consequences to unforgivable acts has become a stupid trope that again really assasinates their character. Really gratifies me when this 'mercy' bites them in the ass.
So I can't really explain but if you just want to know what happened to his family I suggest going to chapter 10 it is somewhat explains what happened to the Tristen family.

Anyone else tired of these types? I remember one where a horrible criminal (her sister) stole and abused her power, then the MC let her go when everyone was pushing for punishing her crime. Soon afterward the sister escaped and killed people. Those innocent deaths were at the hands of the stupid FL for enabling evil.
Thats what it is, evil because it enables evil. This is not about having them be redeemed by making up for their actions, this is giving them the chance to hurt others, bwcause they do not regret the hurt they have caused.
I hope that happens, that because the FLs stupid decision innocent people are killed, and hopefully she understands that you cannot save those who don't want to change.
What always gets my goat is that it’s never just the MC either, everyone else is also stupid and lets them go without even detaining or doing a mental health checkup on the criminal. When it’s one person, it’s a weirdo. When it’s 10+ people, it’s plain stupidity.
I tell my self if i was ever in a dire situation would i prostitute myself. I cannot for the life of me be willing to be a mere consort, nor subject my children to be harassed for power. I hope she doesn't pick the king, and do something like leave saying she is infertile but with protection from her family or something. While her situation is desperate it is not so extreme that she should give herself to him. She is clever and hopefully she can get someone loyal to her.

Ive seen some tropes where one person is jealous that their lover loves someone and doesn't realize its them. But I really like that this one took it even further with how the seme doesnt realize he gave the hickey. Thats really high level misunderstanding seeing how the seme keeps forgetting their nightly sessions
