So basically he loves her this life and previous too. He has legitimate reasons to be cold to her. One is he is scared that she will be threatened because of him and second is he cannot disobey king because of the curse. When she was a child he already received an order to kill her but he snapped out of it because his beloved wife was assassinated. Juvel my child doesn't remember any of it. (He is actually very sweet and loving with her when she was younger). After she killed herself he basically broke his curse. Freed the demon he had to guard and went rampage destroying world. That how powerful he is. After nothing left he made a wish to turn everything back and killed himself.

That dagger that he gave her is actually very powerful magic artifact that was supposed to protect her. Most likely that was what brought her back.
Novel ends when she kills herself thats why she doesn't know what happens after. She just assumes that it's happily ever after for everyone except herself

Juvel only saw his father on his bloody mothers body and as a child herself she assumed that he killed her because he was chasing after her while her mother protected her. So she was very scared of his father. She would cry and scream when saw him and lose conscience all the time. That's why previously he was so scared when she fainted

as a teacher this situation is making my blood boil kfkfmfkdnfign I would never even imagine pushing my ideas and traumas onto my students in order to "protect" them. yes we teach, but at the end of the day they decide and we have to respect their decisions even if we don't agree. We have to be neutral that is literally our role, we just give tools and that's it. but if we are talking about choices regarding friends and lovers, she doesn't even know them!!!?? how is she AAAAA she holds such a strong prejudgment so close to her heart and im just baffled
