It was a good sequel and has a good plot and does capture the post war after cayden coronation. but i need to remind myself not to read it again. I was traumatized for life. I think the sequel is more triggering than the first.

I get where Bessa coming from, though it doesn't excuse for what he did. I mean there is no guarantee that the dragon will care for it people. What if some of the dragon is just tyrannical like yellow dragon. L
And i also understand Akelan POV, like dude was born and grow up with his parents for like a decade maybe. Then goes to slumber for centuries. Woke up and everyone he knew no longer there. Was forced to become emperor. Like his sole purpose of living is to find a mate and become the emperor.
