MC witnesses ML being SA’d by an old guy (while they’re in high school), turns out the ML’s mother is selling him to old men for money. saves him and they run away to a beachside town, police are looking for them cuz MC’s family reported him missing. ML ends up turning himself in and they get separated. MC never sees ML again. they graduate and MC runs into ML at a wine shop, ML invites him over and they reconnect etc
