I get that the past is the past and that the emperor changed "atleast towards the uke" and I have no problem about that. Just a bit annoying how the uke gets over his trauma in a flash. Like the first meeting he has a panik attack, vomits and even stabs himself in the chest. But the next month hes completely fine! Agrees to the deal "which is fine" but then allows the emperor to carry him and all that. It just feels likd they completely glosses over his trauma and I get it it isnt the same emperor and that he should get over the trauma and let the past be the past. But it just feels like its going waay to fast. Most people would most likely still be awkward and uncomfortable around him. Which is a natural reaction when you think about all the shit he had to go through. So it just feels weird and unnatural trauma isnt something you get over in like a day it takes time. Which is why its weird.
But if you guys got anything to say about this please do. I want another persons opinion on this.
i think that’s true to some extent but i think we also have to keep in mind that even if he was being abused/raped by the emperor he was still in love with him for a good portion of his past life.
Thats also true guess he was suffering from a sever case of stockholm syndrom.
Not only with the syndrome, he knows what to do this time and knows how he’s going to go about it living with the king as it is his second chance in life
I agree with you and maybe the author wanted to portray how hard it is to get over trauma, but sometimes a story isn't just built on an author alone. It's also made by editors and publishers, who could have a say in where they wish to see the story to. Most say don't listen to an outsider's viewpoint because it could mess up a story, but I have a feeling the author had no choice but to do that for the sales of their story. And also, it seems like they're juggling a lot of things in this story other than rape trauma, which can lead to a decrease in quality in the things you want :(
It's a good story, I'm hella loving it and on the edge of my seat on every update, but it certainly ends up cutting short in some places. Although I think because of external forces rather than with the author's writing ability

It’s not just a flash, he’s been “dealing” with it for 8 years. I think the severity of it has been forgotten by him as a defense coping mechanism or by he loved him back then
It bothering me also that the author is rushing the redemption arc. That part needs to be slow burn, and she’s doing anything but. You can’t have him in meeting one 1) vomite out of fear 2) have sever panic attack 3) faint out of fear 4) stab your own heart 4) consider to just go all the way and kill oneself, only to in meeting two 1) agree to have sex for days 2) agree to have child together 3) agree to be carried around 4) admire how handsome the seme is 5) be fine with touching the seme 6) have a good time and laugh.
It just isn’t plausible for it to move this fast. It makes the story week, his past life’s horror unimportant and makes the uke seem pretty shallow and stupid :/ It could be so good too, if it was only written more carefully :/
God I hate manga demon so damn much I always think I got a new update I get excited and boom I see it's by manga demon and I immediately get annoyed. I understand you want to show and promote your site but come on! The annoyance it causes just makes people resent you! Yeah needed to vent and fuck manga demon.
