i thinks this author overuse the word "villainess" in the title, i just read the first 11 chapters, so I don't have much expectation yet. But I saw the title and I was expected a "villainess" character, not a "white wash MC who try to be indifferent but accidently loved by everyone" or a "i made myself into a victim of a house's abuse but forgive my family's deeds and turn into a saintess". MC- the programmer( cringe, arkward, naive, nerdy) are the one who make the system whether the OC died multiple times, then be kidnapped by Oswand to live the supposed to be miserable live of OC( I want to thinks of it as some kind of punishment for her deed). But in turn out to be a type of story whether MC live in a play which made her the FL of the story: be loved and love another, be forgiven when she just as bad as Oswand: She thoughtless made a character to be killed time after time, then live as her in a different way she built, as if OC's life have no meaning at all. And now she want to stand as equal as Oswand? And the characters in her family are all OOC, the father who gives her money now when he also is the one who ruined her reputation, the step-mother whose character are too weak to follow: she was mean to be a ruthless woman who can ruin OC's life, and now she turn submissived, harmless, ...
Seriously, what did MC've done to earn the title "villainess"?
Yup... tbh I'm tired of "villainesses" that have absolutely nothing villainous about them... atp it became as cliche as those "heroines" from otome game comics...
Tbh I expected a villainous mc that would treat that world as a proper game and end up as a proper streamer and getting together with Oswald... not... this...
I feel you, I feel like I just read a completly different story than the title.
I have mixed feeling about Oswand as a romance interest, 'cause he is one who have authority to overwrite someone's life, and put him and MC together seem unbalanced, but at least he is a better chance than the game's characters.
Yeah... it's the same with the "divorce" and "contract marriage" titles... 95% of the time they just end up together anyway...
About mc and Oswald... I think of it as she having the potential to become a constellation (as someone that can ve considered a world creator) but that needed to fix Og's life for that... cuz let's be real... Og had many reasons to be resentful and dislike the "new family" and didn't deserve dying so much like in the game. So, my hope was that she finished the game safely as she initially desired and got promoted into a constellation or a proper streamer as reward... and as such Oswald would be the best match...
Instead... she'll probably forgive her family, fall for Clyde and just decide to stay in that world... and honestly... that's the kind of thing that bothers me most with female mc's in general... and especially in rofan... they start with a clear goal and 9 out of 10 times they abandon or change the goal over her emotions and feelings... like... can you imagine a male mc giving up on revenge or saving the world over a woman? Or being like: oh, my family doesn't hate me as much anymore so let's just let bygones be bygones and live happily! This disparity on behavior really bothers me...
I know Carcel did that to prevent Inez getting pregnant due to her weak state, but keep it secret from her is a huge NO. That kind of trope whether character hid important things to their signification with that ridiculous reason as to protect them is annoying as hell. Is their partner a kid or someone who unable to move-thinks- act? Why not discussing it with them? This clearly show that Carcel doesn't trust Inez enough to tell her( I know why but it still feel so annoying) (=・ω・=)
