wait im surprised too i thought it was kinda clear he never really wanted the mc in that way, being more interested in him sexually than romantically. yes he was trying to get closer to the mc by caring for him and encouraging him to open up but thats more being decent/normal, esp bc they were friends first. but he was still doing weird shit like sneaking in gropes. he lost *all* sympathy though when he immediately took advantage of the mc being at an extremely vulnerable point like dude what the fuck
