If you say black is using MC, then MC is using black right back. It’s not like MC didn’t know what he was going to be doing. He’s getting payed to talk about this and make the food/corals. Right now, this isn’t a friendship, it’s more of a job. Maybe realizing how much just thinking about his unrequited love hurts will help MC get over it. Tldr: Black’s not sus guys, he was with me the whole time. lol.
Love it but like, what’s the point of them being high school students? They’re literally never in school. And the fact that they’re underaged never has an impact on anything nor deters anyone.

I think author could have easily had them be recent high school grads (or mayybe even college students) without changing much, if anything.
