Can someone pls tell me if xinlu ever meet taeui again later. Now that he's moved on and all, can't they be friends?
Xinlu even bottomed for taeui's sake, is their connection just gonna vanish like this (/TДT)/
Oh how cordial is it going to be? I hope xinlu still thinks of taeui fondly and not treat him like those people he got bored of quickly
Also, if you don't mind me asking, can you pls spoiler what sort of scene that got xinlu thinking gable and taeui are attracted to each other. I hope ilay is there, that would be very hilarious
Where Taeui travels with Kyle to China for Xinlu’s father’s 80th birthday. This trip would never have happened if it weren't for Kyle's greed to photograph rare books in Xinlu’s library, based on clever tips from Yuri.
What is fascinating here is everyone's psychological stance: Ilay allows Taeui to go without any objection! This is not out of complacency, but because Ilay, with his sharp intellect, fully realizes that the chapter of Taeui in Xinlu's heart has been completely closed. Xinlu is now deeply immersed in his warm, perfect relationship with Yuri.
Upon meeting, this maturity manifests clearly; we see nothing from Xinlu toward Taeui except mutual respect and formal greetings. The old passion has completely vanished. Nothing remains of the past except a subtle "shiver" that overcomes Xinlu whenever Ilay's name is mentioned—a shiver that encapsulates the inferiority complex, the defeat, and the physical and psychological scar Ilay left on his eyes.
On the other side, Xinlu and Yuri's relationship has become a warm haven. Its details, from texts to wedding rings, overflow with a conventional romance that Taeui had always found foreign yet missed in his relationship with Ilay, witnessing a side of Xinlu he never anticipated.
In a scene where Taeui and Yuri sit exchanging praise while sipping tea and waiting for Kyle, this gentle harmony provokes Xinlu's latent jealousy. This prompts him to utter his famous line, blending humor with underlying jealousy out of love for Yuri: "You two are so sweet in this world, to the extent that I am afraid you might end up falling in love with each other!"
Despite this emotional contrast, in the advanced volumes, we see how Ilay begins to express his deep love for Taeui in his own unique way. Their relationship undergoes a massive evolution and maturity, proving that every love has its own distinct language.
Ooh thank you for the detailed reply! I still think it's such a shame that xinlu and taeui's relationship doesn't extend beyond cordiality. I love the chemistry between them, whether it's non-romantic or otherwise. Bonus point if it gets ilay jealous and xinlu is aware of it and makes him jealous out of spite. Double bonus point if gable is there and xinlu essentially shoots himself in the foot because making ilay jealous also means making gable jealous.
But then again these are all common and predictable tropes, and passion series have been anything but common and predictable.
Now that I know how all their relationship turn out, I am gonna piece out. Gable is somewhat interesting and all but these mundane domesticities are not my thing.
Thank you for relieving my curiosity (*´︶`*)ฅ♡
Actually, I didn't quite get what you meant in the jealousy part...
However, I strongly advise you not to drop this manhwa at all, because you will definitely regret it later. It is absolutely amazing! I didn't tell you about the complicated events in their relationship that eventually led them to this peace because I didn't want to spoil it for you. Honestly, it is one of the most beautiful side stories.
As for the mundane domesticities you mentioned, this is a common thing in BL novels; most of them end with this kind of peace. It's just the natural progression of relationships in general.
Also, about the jealousy part: Xinlu would never try to make Yury jealous using Taeui, because he loves Yury so much and knows exactly how sensitive this topic is for all of them. Plus, he was never interested in Taeui either; he knows Ilay is more than enough for poor Taeui, and he actually feels pity for him because of that crazy Ilay.
Oh no, I am not saying the story is bad or boring. what I mean is that I was hoping there's more mistery, top secret mission, and guns involved. I thought I could see something similar to mafia business in Ling's family.
at the moment I am just not in the mood for the kind of complicated stories that don't involve bloodshed. Thank you though, you've been very kind
Haven't read the manhwa but the summary alone gives me the ick. What? The niece wants your perfect green-flag husband and you're letting her?? Fight for him bruh, don't let her get away with anything. Also, you seek the niece's husband for revenge? Don't go involving other men when you still have your husband in your heart (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
Pls anyone spoiler if it isn't as bad the icky impression the summary gives

I was scared and annoyed but when he smiled, I grinned too... Sorry but the wing is really a great idea. Just make sure he's safe director ( ̄∇ ̄")
