Okay… I've read mangas like this a few times before, and what happened in some of them was that the top just pretended as if he loved the bottom all this time and then ran away and left him so that he could get back at him (the bottom) for leaving him (the top) OR he (the top) cheats on him (the bottom) and is like, "I never liked you, I was just playing with you," etc. to also get back at the bottom.
