I've read it long time ago but I'll try to remember correctly.
Layla will beat him really hard and then return home where the duke will confront her about everything. She will drop the act, summon lots of monsters to the mansion and will try to kill them all, but Penelope will show up with her cool magic. Then there's a fight, Derrick will be gravely injured and will finally snap out of brainwashing , but will still be delulu about being someone important for Penny.
One of the monsters will eat the duke and disappear, but he will be saved and transported back home directly from monster's stomach due to an artifact with safety magic (remember, Penelope gifted him one during hunting episode?). Penny with crown prince will follow after Leyla to the imperial palace. There's an ancient artifact (dragon teeth? I don't remember) that she needs.. Penny actually needs that too, because it is the only thing that can restore her body in Korea. They will fight, there will be a dragon and lots of destruction, Penny will kill Leyla, CP will be injured (he will fight that dragon) and Penny will decide to heal him rather then take an artifact and heal her own body, so she won't be able to return as her body will die.
I honestly feel so bad for all of them, everything seems to be pretty messed up. I hope they don't bring back the 2nd male lead trope right after the male lead is back. They should've made dohwa move on instead of still having something for her. If he really did why is he only taking action now after 10 years is the question
As for Eunhyuk it seems like there's a different problem-- psychological, supernatural, idk. Must be related to that jellypop system
I'm still reading this to see what's changed compared to the novel but Matthias doesn't fail to remind me about the trash he is in every chapter. Imagine a psycho like him falling for you. Would you still cheer him on?
Also for those who don't know that bird he hurt is like layla to him and later when layla runs away from him the bird dies too. I feel like matthias needs to be in a psych ward. Not even kidding because from all the psychology classes I've taken, his thoughts are similar to limerance
