Simply because you feel like others around you see such interest as shame or like it's creepy or such , while the truth nothing bad about having any kinda of interest that doesn't harm or hurt others around you , we born free and we should make our own choices , it's not about religions or such more like many feel such interest is unnatural , while it's very natural to have interest in something that would satisfy us : )

There might be countries out there that might have some sort of anti pornography laws? Like i heard in South Korea you can get arrested if you have uncensored porn on computer? (Not tooo sure if its true) or in many countries when you wach materials abusing childs rights (in great britan it does not apply to shota/loli comix)
If you feel insecure just check the law in your country.
There are also copyrights laws that might get you arrested if you for eg spread copyrighted material

Then you are taking some risks reading it then. The question is how well is this law executed and if the govetment is interested and already taking actions against people reading it? my advice try to leave as little as possible evidence ;) you know there are some ways to make it harder to track you....
