It might be obvious to some but I really am doubting that he died in his first life. Especially considering that in this life he wants to be dead so he can disappear for whatever master plan he has. So I'm assuming he used the opportunity in the past life to hide and do what he wants to do. Our Fl also is an unreliable narrator as she only has her perspective and wasn't given the outlook of her life/the truth.

If that's the case, it would be interesting to see how the fl would handle that information cuz there is no way that him having double personalities in this world can always be a secret. And the comparing to the old life would definitely spark some debate about him being the same way considering major plot points are the same and her dad is the same.
