Someone emailed the mangago team asking if they're gonna get their lists back and they said that they can only restore the ones you rated or tagged

this whole situation is very unfortunate but at least the site isn’t gone

yes i’ve seen it, i just decided to wait it out until the next week or so before touching anything. i just wished they would make an official announcement like they did when they disabled the comments a few years ago

Same here. Its been nearly 2 weeks my read lists stopped updating at 450 so i want to star manually arranging my lists but should i wait more?

Idk if u used to bookmark ur stuff but u can also check the bookmarks section in ur account that's how i found a few other manwhas i used to read bcz i obviously barely ever tagged any of them :')

I’m I a little confused because three of my want to reads came back and one of my currently reading came back but I only had tags in two of them and none of them are rated. And I had heard they should be back within a week but I’m losing hope

Have you re-added any before the restoration? They said if anyone re-added manga to the lists earlier before the add to list option was paused temporarily, it would automatically come under the newer date?

nope, ever since we got our lists erased i haven’t touched anything, i’m just waiting until everything is getting restored

Yepp. I have the same issue and i added new mangas b4 the restoration and now all of my lists are coming back to already read list. Is there a solution or will we have to manually organize them?

That issue should be sorted after the whole process is done, or so they have said. At the very least we don't have to worry about it for the time being, I'm sure they'll manage it when the time comes.

You were able add reads up until today, and when the site came back online all the reads were gone. However, when they started adding everything back they were all originally going into the read section. So it does really have anything to do with whether you added/edited something before they shut off the function.

I think what they're saying is that a manga they would have added a month ago to their list is appearing before a manga they would have added 2 years ago. Which is what I'm experiencing.

That s good then. If it s not related to adding new mangas while the lists were gone. But i hope they can fix the sections of the lists. Manually organizing them will be tough. Let s wait and see. Fingers crossed.

Tbh I wouldn't really worry about that for now, as long as they're all there, we should all be relieved. I know people like organisation and stuff but as long as your 'reading, to read, already read' have the same if not similar numbers by the end of this, then it's a win as we all very well could've lost everything lol

That's the thing that's worrying, they were supposed to be restoring things based on the accounts, I've had mine since 2019, and I've got a good number of reads back of which I've added to my drop list (-180 which I had already added myself) since these were all deleted things. But the thing is I'm confused as to how they're restoring it because there's comics I added last year or year before last now that are appearing much before other comics I would have. Based on the timeline I'm missing like 400 comics on the low end.

Mainly when you actually added the manga to the list. They've been restoring it from around 2020 onwards. So newer manga will be added after manga from years ago.
Not sure if you've seen the update post but I think we're in October 2024 or something now (or a time similar). That being said, my first page ony 'reading list' says 2026 and my last one says 2018t so it may also just be another glitch for some users due to how the sites been struggling, they did say once the process is finished hopefully other minor issues should iron out.

Yeah, it sounds like maybe it's just a system glitch type issue. It might iron out when everything's all functioning normally again, we'll have to wait and see. At the very least, manga are returning which is better than nothing :)
