So i hope u are somewhat acquainted with Egyptian mythology because it makes sense that way. Anyway. Its the yaoi retelling of horus vs seth mythological fight where seth kills his eldest brother osiris and usurps the throne. He tries to force himself on osiris wife isis and locks her away in a maze but his own wife nephyths helps her escape and she runs away. Centuries pass and isis returns with horus her child, who she conceived after reviving osiris. But since osiris has been killed once he's forever bound to duat (Egyptian underworld) horus is a demigod and adult now who's here to claim his rightful seat as king but obv seth doesnt wanna hand it over easily so horus challenges him to duels and seth agrees. They fight. Seth loses horus win. Horus banishes seth and reclaims his rule over egypt. S1 end.
Note : the incest here isnt literal because gods are not bound by familiar ties nor blood and a god borne out of a god is a complete being in their own right. Its more lkke the concept of abstract things given personas and relationship status by Egyptians to worship earth and abstract things. Example sun bores moisture and air who in turn beget earth and sky. Earth n sky beget fertility, magic, peace and war etc etc.

Seth is heavily defeated and brought to trial his crimes are never ending and it was decided to destroy his soul but his wife pleaded and managed to change his sentence. Now he needs to roam egypt stripped of his divinity n powers demoted to an almost mortal demigod body n feel the pain of each n evrry single soul he unjustly killed. While he's on his adventure horus spies on him cuz he is worried for his uncle and soon joins him too. They both uncover secrets together, solve mysteries avenge women and protect them from sex traffickers and also grow close to each other. S2 has worst of graphic grape n heavy plot but its an imp season for seths character development n ennead backstory. Also by its end horus n seth become mutually a thing.
