I feel like if this wasn’t set up as a comedy this would be incredibly dark, like the concept of it is literally just a man getting kidnapped and forced to appeal to the kidnapper in every way so that he’s not left to rot alone in the basement forever, he is assaulted and humiliated time and time again, and if the ML doesn’t get his way he makes the MC stay alone for days which is clearly not mentally right for the mc and it’s pretty obvious that the ml is aware of this and is partially using his stupidity to continue behaving the way he is
That being said, because it’s set up to be funny that’s completely overlooked, by myself included sometimes because yes, they’re both extremely funny in certain scenes, but in half the sex scenes the mc is literally just sobbing by the end and it’s so sad and uncomfortable
