if you are enjoying any chinese BL manhwa (here u are, shen cheng, etc.) please be aware of the rampant homophobia currently happening within the chinese government... recently, a BL artist was arrested and sentenced to 10+ years in prison. Not even murderers or rapists usually get that long in China! the manhwa community is still very underground here, so please show our artists as much support as possible!!!! what they are doing is simply showing the world their love and talent, yet it is seen as a crime :(
Wait but isn't there a chinese live action movie coming out in China, adapted from Mo dao zu shi, a very BL novel? Even if they take out all the bl things, they still took the story from a gay novel. That's so hypocritical. And that author is thriving off her bl work while another got thrown in jail???

yeah i'm not sure how some people get caught and others don't; i think it's because people actively report the artists for writing BL/GL stuff to get the attention of authorities. I know mo dao zu shi animation isn't explicitly BL (it's more bromance and friendship) so maybe the live action is along the same lines... the BL novel is also pretty underground :/
does anyone know the manga that was something like a group of detectives but there was a case of a murderer who killed an ex of one of the detectives? he had like ptsd later and had to be rehabilitated but idk
