Did Rannon truly love Ayna???? Cause I remember in the first few chapters where goddess Gold appeared she said that Rannon didn’t love her and only used her.

Rannon loved Ayna too much. But Rannon never explained his decisions to Ayna so Ayna thought that she was only used. If you remember, when Ayna confronted Rannon, he never gave any explanations or excuse so Ayna never knew the reason behind the wish of the emperor. Ayna did not know that her 1st born was going to kick her out after he succeed the throne. Rannon knew this so He wished for the 1st born to die. He bound her soul to the empire so she'll stay there. Rannon is possessive, obsessive and greedy espicially towards Ayna.

Honestly, Tia's constant guilt trip and self blame is making the story monotonous. I understand how she continuously reject Cedric's affection because she feel unworthy of it but does she have to always blame herself for every bad thing that happens in the duchy??? Like the the deaths of the warriors, I feel like she's disregarding their sacrifices by self blaming and not showing gratitude.

I really feel bad fot Youngwon. Out of all for of them he is the only one who is true to his feelings. He may be scared to lose Taejoo but he's brave enough to remind him how sincere his love for him is. I just hate the fact that Taejoo's indecisive attitude is making him desperate for attention to the point of targeting Yoon.

I have a bad feeling that the Jordin household might revolt because of that dumb bitch's death.......

No I don't think so. I mean, that would just make things worse for the rest of the family. They are more loyal to the castle, the land, and their King. To give that all up because of one foolish girl, would curse them. I think that they would be an example oath of loyalty despite diversity and obstacles. I still feel sorry for her. She was 18 and foolish and yes she was stupid. But people go through stupid face, don't they? Although she tape screw up big-time and there was no turning back. I feel bad for the sister. Imagining having to kill your own sister? That's terrifying.

Like you've said, they've been serving the Grand duchy of Evron for a long time, a loyal vassal and they must have made a lot of sacrifices not just for the Evron household but to for its citizens as well. So the parents must have felt betrayed by Cedric's decision of executing Aubrey plus the fact that he even told them to kill the her themselves. They know alot of the in and outs of the duchy, so having them as enemy would greatly impact Evron.
And, imagine losing your family's honor and almost having the whole family killed because of a "foolish" lovestruck teenager's mistake, I don't think her sister would dwell on it for a long time, she knows it was the right call after all.
But yeah, I do get your point.
In what arc are we currently in?? Are we near the war arc?
The war arc is near the end of the novel. This arc is the Calztela arc. Very soon it will shift to the capital city of Mendoza.
Oh, thanks. I was contemplating if I should read the novel first or settle with the manhwa. And since the manhwa hasn’t covered a lot yet, I guess I’ll start with the novel. Thank you.
Where do y’all read the novel?! I cant find it anywhere
You can read it in Tappytoon
Be aware that Tappytoon version has missing thoughts, added thoughts, mistranslation and errors. The only truthful version of the novel that exists is the Korean version.
I would read the korean version if I can but papago is the best translator I could find. And it’s not that accurate. But thanks for telling me!
