Like many others, I wanted to see them adopt the abused boy. From the moment Nakagawa, moved to shield him when they were both locked up (and crazy lady came to check on them). I think Nakagawa would make a great dad for that boy, but it's not really a realistic thing to ask of Motoya. If you think about it, he'd naturally avoid touching the kid, because every time he did he'd get flashes of that woman abusing him. That would only cause him to relive his own trauma. Even for a grown man, that's too much to ask someone to deal with in their everyday life. It also wouldn't be healthy for the boy, who would no doubt notice the way one of his "dads" avoided touching him. It's entirely possible that would cause him to feel like something of a pariah, and would certainly reinforce feelings of being unwanted.
66 pages in and I'm just not willing to bother anymore. Maybe it's partly the translation, but this thing makes no sense at all. It's a hot mess, and I can't manage to even get a basic emotional connection to the characters. They have no depth to speak of. The art isn't even that good. Not worth my time.
