Uhm So i got bit by my dog, in the nose. but not that deep, but still went through the skin. The dog is a girl Shih tzu shes not rabid cause she dont fit the description. She got injected with anti rabies. But it bit me and my parents said just wash it and maybe get an injection tomorrow cause its night now. Is that like fatal???? I maybe over reacting but. And I know it takes like days for it to take a damage. But will I be fine for like maybe the next 12 hours???? I just washed it and rubbed it with rubbing alcohol and put an ointment

I’m not an expert but rabies isn’t the only thing you can get from a dog bite you can get tetanus and even sepsis from a dog bite (from google search). Then again, I’m not an expert. Maybe just keep doing it (washing the wound with soap and put rubbing alcohol) or maybe ask from someone you know that has some experience I guess and send them a pic of the bite so they know how deep the bite is? In my case when I got bitten by my friend’s dog (which is a husky so the bite was pretty big) I just washed it with soap and put some rubbing alcohol and put betadine then a patch.

If it's just a minor wound it'll heal, I've gotten bit by my dog before, because he has nightmares and one time he totally panicked, I touched him slightly to wake him up but he jumped and bit me gently, he couldn't tell it was me, but yeah the wound healed quick so you should be fine!
