umm...bc people suffering =/= bad story?!? if the author is able to show and depict the heavy topics with nuance and it's complexities, along w the damage it does to person and the people around him...then that's a good story. what i wanna ask is how is story like waterside night 9.2+ rating?!?!?
this story definitely is not for everyone, as it involves heavy topics. and suffering and what not. but at the same time, it doesn't use these topics as a cheap shock factor, the aftermath and the complexities are embedded in the story.
btw i wanna clarify I didn't say the story was bad.

yes I agree. it definitely was a heavy read for me too and i also think i wont be able to finish the story..might drop it ...and I was js trying to explain why a story can have a high rating, altho i do think there should be TW in description.

Well, I’d say read it. it’s really well written, at the beginning there’s no romance between them, just prof student. It makes you want to understand how they’re going to fall in love, but it’s so good when they do. It explores a relationship with age gap, but it’s also a great slow burn. You get to see how they change over the years in a good way. Absolutely love it.
It’s peak the ml becomes such a pookie for our mc but he still needs to work sum out but it fine changing takes time
