I kinda agree and kinda refrain from judging her since we don’t know if she still interacts with them or not cuz they don’t touch on it. Don’t forget that Kirara’s dad is pretty much peace’s out as he never seems to return from his work abroad but that parents appear to still be married. The story doesn’t go into much detail about the relationships either because it’s tribal to the story’s plot or it going to come up later. On another note I do notice in a lot of BL mangas with kids the other parent will peace out without so much as a talk about the child. IDK if this is an actual trend in Asian cultural or if it’s just an easy plot device to creat cute BL families.

Yeah, that’s a fair point. It also doesn’t looks like their dad is around a lot. Whether it’s do to his work or love life, I’m not sure, but that could be why they are there a lot and respect her. Since she probably just too them in on her own accord.
I have also seen BLs where it seems like the children have to choose to either be with one partner. Like it’s all or nothing deal. Idk, alway thought it was a weird plot choice. But for the most part I have rarely seen the separated parent take active roles in the children’s’ lives. I hope we see this resolved, but unfortunately if an absent parents return it usually just stirs up drama. It would be nice to see a change though.
