Is this a generational thing? Like I wonder why recently in the last few years I get responses like this to VERY obvious jokes. It's usually Gen z who take my joke remarks seriously. Call me an old fart but I'm missing my xanga days. (Pre MySpace social media site btw.. wow I feel old). But at least people understood back then this type of benign sarcastic humor. I'd be a millionaire if I got a dollar for how many times I got "whooshed" incorrectly for making my bad dad jokes... (⊙…⊙ )
On btw I'm not trying to be mean or anything. I was just wondering out loud why this keeps happening recently to me when back in the day this kind of mock response was standard on the internet. It just reminds me why I almost stopped using any kind of forum function completely on any website. Too many misunderstandings due to some strange generational gap when it comes to humor. ┗( T﹏T )┛

Wait no, we do understand what you meant as a joke. It’s just sometimes some people wants to give some sort of response so they end up pointing the obvious, no?
Idk exactly what you mean by that, but back in the day (before many of the people on this site now were born or were just toddlers) Bleach was like the biggest mangaanime out there. So ofc when my old fart mind sees the word "bleach" it instantly thinks of the manga not the product first and for most, and NEEDS to make a bad dad joke about it. It's like ingrained in my millennial psyche so it seemed like the perfect joke but thanks for showing me the error of my ways and that my lame humor has reached its expiration date apperantly? Sorry I'll see myself out. I need to join some geezer support group.or something. Lol
Sorry again btw if I'm blowing up you notifications. I feel so out of place nowadays, I'm sweating like a prostitute in a church when interacting with younger people because of the possibility of my humor getting misunderstood. Hey at least I didn't get attacked by a mob of them like has been the usual when my chaotic neutral ass says something dumb but harmless... (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸

I mean..all dad jokes are lame, aren’t they? Don’t worry, I’m sure there’s some stupid person who chuckled at ur comment like me. Oh and I get that why’d you think the manga/anime ‘Bleach’ first. Just means you were pretty deep into the fandom. I mean nothing’s wrong with making a lame weeb dad joke.

Never heard of it but if it's anything like your previous comment perhaps that's a good thing?? oh and about the reason you wanted bleach, you definitely stumbled on some shota manga so be careful next time to look at the tags. Shota depicts very young characters, many times in a sexual manner. (But not always). There are wholesome variations like "The Yankee boy and Otaku girl" and My Girl that are not sexual, "but yeah if stuff like this squicks you out, always check the tags or read some comments first to know what you're getting into.

I was having some kind of mid life crisis or something. Yes I'm an old fart weeb who loved Bleach back in the day but now it's probably as lame as my older siblings generation still making "over 9000" Dragon ball Z jokes. Hey at least I'm self aware, give me credit for that. I know many from my social circle who don't even know how cringey their Harry potter jokes are. Even I grew out of that fandom before I turned 18, so it's sad when my fellow 30+ year olds talk about what potter house they should be in!
can someone pass me some bleach?
