TBH, I get y'all mean at how y'all beef with Jaeha. But that simply how his nature as an adult is. Y'all get a life. The MC literally is a child back then as also seen as a brother one. That simply put jaeha in a situation where in he would not engage. Plus things have been complicated as he got married.
