yes, you can get a reminder. Just go to the specific manga you want to follow, and hit 'Now Reading' or 'Already Read' button. then you will get a notification when the manga is updated.

Subscriptions for updates is in the right under the most popular manga (it's not for one manga though, just gives you the updates of manga).
