I only read this once, but the story is fairly simplistic so I remember it. It's basically a romance between an art gallery director (a golden alpha) and his assistant (claiming to be a beta but the director thinks he is an omega). The assistant used to be an artist, but he stopped painting and the director wants him to paint again. The two had sex twice, and the second time the director knotted on him and he was regretting it, although the assistant was completely fine. That's it. A really straightforward story. I might miss a few details.

I have not read the novel and basing it merely on the webtoon. Sure, I didn't mention a lot of stuff like his backstory, his colleagues, or that one dude who is interested in him, but so far, none of them stood out, so I don't bother including it in my summary. The only standout scene so far is when the main character saw his own art in the director's home and collapsed. The rest is fairly unremarkable. This series is not badly written, but it is also nothing special, at least not yet at this stage of the webtoon. The artwork hardcarries the whole thing. My opinion might change but from the spoilers I have seen, I doubt my opinion will change.

As for the novel, I can assure you that most novels if not all are better than the adaptation, so I don't doubt it's better as you just said. However, I have read a lot of novels after getting interested from the webtoon adaptation, and this isn't one of them. Maybe it's the fault of the adaptation, but I'm not enticed enough to see how the novel differs. The concept and the characters are fairly generic, so I'm not surprised a lot of people forget what it's even about.
