It's sad but realistic. Parents will often times focus and devote more of their time to the child they feel is struggling or not mature enough. Often times this makes the "mature" child grow up faster or become independent. It's sad that his brother's actions robbed him of not only a loving family that actually accepted him completely but also the chance at a happy childhood. Seeing as how our main character has had to deal with the actions of his brother since he was young. I don't agree with his parents choices at all but in all honesty the fact that they are making him go to the wedding bothers me more. Because I feel like it's more about maintaining appearances, it's not like before when they had a hard choice to make for their childrens' well-being.
Literally this. Right from the start woojin and his brothers relationship was toxic asf to the point that woojin would’ve been on a downward spiral if he hadn’t managed to establish bonds outside of his family unit coz they were doing fuckall on that end and then woojin has the audacity to be gay and all of a sudden his brother who never gave a fuck about him or his wellbeing is concerned for him???? LOL. With the parents it’s just wrong decision after wrong decision after wrong decision up till fucking now lol which is just??? Coz did the mum even consider how woojin would feel being forced to be “happy” for the man that was so toxic to him he was forced mature and be independent as a child before he was ready with everyone in his family enabling that bullshit all coz he’s having a baby and getting married??? Like wats the thought process here fr or does it not matter as long as it looks good outside like this shit is actually bizarre. Everyone just seems to have so much audacity and entitlement to him without extending him any proper consideration coz wtf is this fr. I’m actually mad as hell. I been mad since the backstory of y he went no contact started rolling out
