Weird, but I actually have a cousin is is diagnosed with split personality disorder. She can't remember what the other version of herself says. So if you say something to her, the other version of her will have no idea what you said to the other. Almost like you're talking to another person LITERALLY. Split personality is caused by trauma as a child. But if he does have split personality im guessing he shouldn't remember what the other is saying. But im guessing its the sleeping pills. And fatigue building up despite him already actually sleeping. Sorry for the yap.(〜￣△￣)〜
It's a complex disorder, some people know their alters exist but their alters don't and vice versa. Or even a select few alters know but some don't sorta thing
My cousin knows, "both" of them do they just act like different people and cant remember what either of them say
Yeah memory and behavior is complex too, especially with DID. It's def possible for a person with DID to be lucid while another alter is active, particularly in systems with high levels of co-consciousness. It's like remembering a dream but that dream actually happened irl
My mama had 4 separate personalities and they were all aware of each other and what they did, so it's highly possible. In some people, the personalities can actively talk to each other in their head.
DID, P-DID and other related disorders are all deeply complex and impact the people who have them in different ways as everyone has a different brain and brainchrmistry, so co-consciousness and piloting is perfectly plausible. Plus not every system experiences amnesia, some have perfect information flow among themselves and other systems only have emotional amnesia. DID is a disorder that’s too variated to give the label of a “true” case or universal experience
