Can someone tell me what's the novel chap. for 79
I'm also curious to read the novel but I heard it's worse than the manhwa. Maybe I'll stick to reading the manhwa instead and maybe hope that the artist will deviate from the novel a little to give fl some peace and maybe get away from ml lol but either way I'm loving the toxicity, the drama, most especially the art
oh no i forgot but check around ch 40-60. I reco opening each chapter (starting from 40), scanning the first few lines, and keep spamming next until you find the lines that match this chapter!! idt it’ll reach ch 60 tho so maybe somewhere until ch 53? I’m not sure, but just flip through the pages bc thats what I did before. But if I’m wrong about the ch 40 thing then just go back.
Does it show a lot of ML's pov? I'm hesitant to read it cos of how toxic it is I feel like the toxicity is being watered down in the manhwa. Or maybe it's because we haven't gone to the peak of the story yet? If you don't mine spoiling it for me do they really end up together? What will happen to the ML's engagement? I can only imagine the MC being targeted.
Based on clinical and legal definitions, a 200-year-old witch falling in love with a 18/19-year-old is not technically pedophilia, but it is a classic example of a "May-December" or high-age-gap fantasy romance.
Here is a breakdown of why, based on definitions of pedophilia and ethical considerations:
1. The Legal and Clinical Definition
Pedophilia: Defined by the DSM-5 (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) as a sexual attraction to prepubescent children, generally aged 13 or younger.
Age of Consent: In most modern legal systems, a 18/19-year-old is a legal adult. A 18-year-old has reached full puberty and is intellectually capable of consenting.
Hebephilia/Ephebophilia: Attraction to young adolescents (11-14) is sometimes called hebephilia, and attraction to late-stage adolescents (15-16) is called ephebophilia, which are different from pedophilia.
2. The Fantasy/Supernatural Context
In fiction, this trope (e.g., vampires, fae, witches) is common and generally not seen as pedophilia because the younger person is not a minor.
Power Dynamics: Although not pedophilia, such a massive age gap (200 vs. 18/19) often involves a huge power imbalance, which can be seen as predatory or "creepy" depending on how the older character uses their knowledge, experience, or magic to influence the younger one.
Immature Adult: If the 200-year-old takes advantage of the 18-year-old’s lack of life experience, it is viewed as an unethical or predatory relationship, rather than a psychological disorder.
Summary
If the 18-year-old is an adult, it is not pedophilia. However, it is an extreme age gap that frequently raises questions about power dynamics and coercion, even if both parties are legal adults.
"Omg she married the kid she raised" hypocrisy! u call this pedo. but u fantasize about vampires or something don't know ur kinks. Illiterate people u don't have any reading comprehension did u see her groom the ml as a kid? or seen her being inappropriate to ml as a kid?.
