My finally take on this matter, don't bloody care if am seen as the villain:
So guys manipulation is a free pass for cheating now, I got to learn that here, so i've been deceived all my life. And those who do not agree with such take are apparently "victim blaming"
People are mixing two things up. She can be a victim of manipulation and still make a wrong choice. Both can exist.
Yes, she was vulnerable, her lover had been missing for 4 months, she didn’t know if he was alive, and someone took advantage of that. That explains why it happened, and she deserves empathy for that.
But making out with someone else while you’re still emotionally committed to your partner is still crossing a line. Even she stopped herself, which shows she knew it wasn’t right.
What really gets me is the double standard. I’ve seen MLs get dragged to hell for the same thing or even less. Eiser in “Selena” was called all sorts of names just for almost giving in to his ex before stopping himself, fans said he emotionally cheated and didn’t deserve the FL. that was the first time I knew there was something called "emotionally cheating" lol. No one cared about context then.
Same thing in “I Will Give You the Most Rotten One”, the ML was drunk and taken advantage of by his colleague, and instead of fans calling it what it was, people still labeled him a cheater.
Park yoonsoo in "olagami" labeled a cheater for having a rebound after our FL rejected him, no one said nothing.
But now, suddenly it’s all excuses?
At the end of the day, you can understand the situation and still hold the character accountable. Just keep the same energy for both sides, why is that so hard to do
