I'd like to waste my vacation drowned with mangas and chips.

Otaku X July 27, 2018 11:04 am

I'm looking for something shoujo specific. A guy who's like Akito-kin from child's play... basically the guy liking the girl first and is literally open with his feelings but the girl's super thickheaded.
(● ̄(エ) ̄●) I don kno just something like that...

    Yes.
    Himitsu no Ai-Chan
    Obaka-chan, Koigatariki
Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge (unfortunately I think I remember the author stopped this one)
Hana Yori Dango (but I recommend watching the Kdrama of the story, Boys Over Flowers, it’s amazing)

And I will recommend Dengeki Daisy, but the “hate” is complex, and it’s not apparent, especially not at the time of the manga taking place. It’s an amazing read, I’ve reread it three times, and the characters are very well written, plot is a lil choppy but good in fiction.

Okay I have had bad experiences reading Yaoi. And I really want to know why people are obsessed with them since it doesn't really intrigue me. I just want to know a what makes yaoi intriguing to people. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

hmm well for me personally, I'm in it for the art and the good story?? aesthetics are life lol. plus idk what you read but there are really beautiful, non rape yaoi out there (=・ω・=)

    Anonymous May 16, 2017 8:58 pm

I just liked it, even if there was rape. I was like "wth this is wrong... well doesn't matter, i like it"

I just simply liked it haha.
Why was your experience bad? If it is because of the rape/forced sex we can give you some nice stories :D

    Pawsup97 May 16, 2017 9:04 pm

i really like romantic stories in general but my favourite are yaoi because i find love between two guys really sweet , for me they are more exiting... i don't know why
why did u have a bad experience ?

    Urushihara Phantomhive May 16, 2017 9:08 pm

    Because I was born female.

    Dreamer May 16, 2017 9:25 pm

I used to read shoujo's. But then I discovered yaoi. The romance in yaoi just feels more passionate and intense in my opinion. Whereas romance in shoujo is fluffy and sweet. Too fluffy and sweet to my taste now. Although on occasion, I still do read shoujo manga. But only when the story is really really good and not all too girly.

    Arianna May 16, 2017 9:44 pm

    well because it's hot.

    Blueberries May 16, 2017 11:32 pm

I wondered why too so I asked the wise Master Google and I was blessed with several answers.

    1. Women like reading about two hot men getting all down and dirty as they display a vulnerability which is rarely shown in non-yaoi manhwas/mangas.
2.Uke and seme characterization is way more attractive to a female because two individuals with the same physicality are deciding their sexual position and the role in their relationship is based on whether they are a seme or uke rather than being born to a gender, hence an illusion of seeing the characters having the power to lead a life they please is also another aspect that attracts a female.
    3. The lack of evil third person especially a woman who interferes. In the yaoi world, all women are either absent or are in favor of the relationship. Hence creating an illusion of imaginary world which is highly attractive to the reader.
    4. Finally, it's yaoi. It has the power to make the reader forget reality as they get lost whether reading about a tsundere uke or a rapist seme who eventually falls for the innocent uke.

The yaoi world has its faults and errors, not every obsession requires an explanation sometimes we are just obsessed with things for no reason and these things might not be as attractive to everyone else.

You guys all got a point I guess I wasn't really open minded nor read it half heartedly. Though I do get all ya'll opinion. But I'm kind of intrested in reading some none rape/sexual yaoi. My friends always recommend me sexualized gay couples and all they do all day is having intercourses. But I did like the abs part! I mean damnnnn they're HOT! ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄ ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ
