I read the novel and cryied a lot. I’m not excusing the whole grape part. It could be written differently (ex. Manacled vs. Alchemised - if you compare the two you will see). But there are two sides to this story. We are in 50% of the 1 volume…


And after this point passess after she becomes pregnant this whole story changes. And its soooooo worth the wait. After her pregnacy starts we see the changes happen in both FL and ML. And his redemption arc and suffering is chefs kiss. Our FL is badass. She didint forgive what he has done to her, she isn’t delusioned about who he is. I read that she would be better off if she killed him. And she kind of does. She left him and ran away with child when he was bleeding out and dying. She didnt give him any help or hope that she will forgive him, that they can be toghether and there is a happy ending for them. The moment she accepted him after his change is at the past page of the book. So the whole vol 2 is his redemption arc, his change and suffering and he falls way lower that she ever did. Could this happen in real life - i doubt it. But the psychological stuff and healing that is happening is soo good. Vol 2 is they’re fight for their child (between them, with the world). S*x stuff is there also but she kinda treats him like a male prostittute - as she said -„ I will miss your thing but not you”, and mostly there is talking, yearning from his part, running from her part and a lot of action. So to sum it up it is worth the read but we are in the worst part of the book, soon it will be better (skip this grape stuff), and i hopę they will not butcher this up. Read novel of you can! Its worth it!

Is there any manga with a heroine in this situation, when she escapes and takes revenge on ML and doesn’t end up with him in the end? Like a true role model for modern women, if someone treats you shitty you leave and either end up alone or with someone healthy. Im desperate to read something like that, and not in ,,i came back from the dead” genre …

What do you Think his voice sounds like?
I imagine its like Hozier -Take me to church .
Did the autor said anthing about that on X ?
