idk if it's bcos it's the english translation or smth but i rly dont think this is the title the story needs. and i cant help but think the title implies that being an "ugly lady" equates to being "fat" or that she's ugly bcos she's fat. also, i was kinda disappointed at how fast she lost weight. i thought there would be a few obstacles to clear before she achieves the slim figure.
the way the story portrays the parents are also kinda inconsistent. i think in the beginning they said the duke and duchess were kind people. but then, they'll tell us the duchess isn't even in the manor, and that the duke doesn't care about his children. or maybe that was just from the mc's pov? idk. he doesn't seem like a kind father and a "head that leads the household with grace" to me. well, maybe in an aristocratic pov, he is and he does. but still. to me, he just looks like a jerk of a dad with overly long eyebrows.
well anw, the art style looks gorg and im a sucker for gorg art styles. i think i can tolerate the inconsistencies, this has only just begun after all. im looking forward to how the story develops!
hmmm i think she was rly meant to be brought to "father-in-law". remember when he told grandpa he'd send someone to get her, i think that someone was his son. and there was a dialogue of the son which meant like "i'll have a taste of you before i bring you to father" or smth like that. just a theory tho
