If he feels empowered through his fate, why would he not turn to it when he's in despair? That's literally what it is for. People pray to find guidance and his God does not judge. You always have someone to talk to in your darkest times if you believe in a benevolent god like that.
It makes total sense for a religious guy in his situation to pray, from such a viewpoint.

(I'm an ex-catholic, do not care about religion myself anymore but this is how the people around me explain their relationship with god.)

Its not god's fault that happened though, god gives everyone free will, he isnt a dictator. The problem is there has always been evil people around, those are the people you have to protect yourself against and turn your back to. Not turn your back to god.

I can see why you think that, but in a different way I like to see it is that both of the charecters both struggle with something, and I think its very clear to see Miyabi’s struggles and how Haruto helps him. Though I feel like the way Miyabi helps him isn’t really that noticeable or it gets brushes over

Miyabi has really low self esteem because of his trauma and Haruto throughout the first volume uplifts him to where he’s closer to getting over his trauma. And then throughout the whole manga he starts to reiterate what a family is supposed to be like or what it means to him, thanks ro Haruto and his families help.

Haruto though he struggles with having a saviour complex, and in the past people have taken advantage of him because of his background. I think it gave him a really bad opinion on why people want to approach him, and I think he really struggled with that because he grew up to be caring and generous. I think hence why he started getting into fights?

When he met Miyabi who didn’t approach him at all even with his situation, in my interpretation I wanna say that he almost felt bad about the opinions he had on him before. Ok im ngl Miyabi was really rude to Haruto before but he was kinda right.
It originally gave Haruto a bad rapport on Miyabi. It also opened up his eyes though to how fortunate he has it, and that there are people actually struggling and need help?

I also feel like Miyabi grounds him so much like he literally can’t do anything without Miyabi. Because in the second volume it shows the struggles the couple is going through. Haruto is jealous of everyone who comes close to Miyabi, and is lwk rly unhinged about it. With his savior complex he struggles of letting Miyabi doing basic things like chores around the house, working a job, etc. Miyabi feels useless in their relationship and wants to be viewed as an equal to Haruto. They have that fight or wtv and like once its over the house is messy or smth. Miyabi gives him the energy to do Basic necessities.


Also I think Miyabi would’ve been fine in the future without Haruto he’s extremely intelligent and hard working he would’ve easily gotten a good job, after college.

I think or hope the author had intended this story to be more about two charecters with completely different struggles coming tgt to help each other. Again I can see why you think that though, and I also do find it sad that it lwk comes off that way.:( But I love both charecters so I try not to see it that way!!! ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Adding onto this;

Miyabi never asked for help nor did he accept it for the longest time from anyone. Haruto, through sheer persistence, was able to show that he wasn't helping Miyabi for any sort of benefit. It's why it sets Miyabi off so bad when those other students were shit talking Haruto for not sleeping with an omega.

Tho I have to disagree with the part about Miyabi doing just fine as an adult even if he didn't have Haruto. Not saying they are or aren't dependent on each other, but it was thanks to Haruto that Miyabi was able to get some closure. Especially with his brother Yamato. Miyabi had been living his whole life till that point not caring about himself or his surroundings. He never got a chance to. It's why when we first see him at home it's a disgusting, chaotic mess. He was in a deep depression that would have only grown as he got older.

They were both in need of someone who could compensate for what they lacked as individuals. Miyabi grounded Haruto and helped curb his overprotective nature while Haruto helped foster Miyabi's self-confidence and gave him closure.

I thought the same. It's very nice that he found people that like him and support him, but the most of them are the family of his mate, so if they would break up, he wouldn't have a lot left.
I don't like this kind of relationship because he's so dependent.
There should be more of him learning to be independent.
Also it's crazy how much he cares about his rapist brother. They just did like that was nothing serious WTF?!

This Manga was recommended to me because it should be a cute love story but I think it's dark as hell. Yes it has some cute stuff but even the love story is so dark. I don't get what is nice about a partner that wants to lock you up and wants to be everything to you. Your whole world. I would like that. I would think I can't breath anymore with a love like that.
