Honestly, i’m pretty surprised people are getting annoyed at Doori lol, if anything I actually felt really bad for Doori. He’s slowly getting an inferiority complex because he thinks he isn’t as good as his Noah which really won’t help their relationship move forward if noone helps him soon. I honestly probably would’ve felt the same way as Doori, because unlike Noah who doesn’t really care about the competition, Doori on the other hand is really invested and for so many years he’s been playing to be better just to get compared to someone who was born with natural talent which basically puts all his hard work aside (noone is invalidating his hard work, but in his perspective thats how it is). I honestly really like how the author actually decided to add this in, cause this is really a normal thing which sadly happens more than often. My only complaint was when Noah and Doori had sex for the first time, Noah was clearly intoxicated and although Doori didn’t have ill intentions, it’s still counted as r//e.

I understand doori, but still, now completely ignoring Noah and refusing to explain what’s so obviously upset him is so unfair to Noah and he clearly doesn’t deserve it. It’s actually kinda annoying to me cause I feel like Noah is just gonna be expected to deal with this, stay calm and collected, and keep blindly chasing after doori, even when being given such contradictory signs (which is what is typically expected of the seme).
I don’t actually have any experience lol but I’ve read enough mangas, webtoons and online stories to know that ignoring someone for a week, no matter how traumatising the reason (which is really stupid I’ll admit - but considering a lot of the guys reasons there usually had to do with an enemy trying to kill them, Dooris problem seems way smaller in comparison ), usually ends up with either a huge fight or a break up cause the person gets so angry and apparently it’s justifiable (which I have to say makes sense to me - except for the murdering plotlines)

As a person who has lots of dating experience, I agree ignoring someone isn’t okay. But in this case, it really is a human way to respond to the problem at hand. In a way you don’t want to bother your partner whom is the cause of your problems because you might be afraid of exg. breaking up. Doori should have his own time to sort out his thoughts, and that’s when he should talk to Noah (Sorting your feelings is different from lashing out, hope he doesn’t lash out ay Noah.) cause clearly, right now Dooriis uncomfortable around Noah due to his growing inferiority complex. The best thing Noah should do isn’t accept what Doori is doing, but encourage him that everything will be alright and he will be ableto solve the problem with or without him (Noah) because although you aren’t giving advice, you’re giving the person who has a problem encouragement and even more-so if you’re their s/o.

Also regarding the plots you gave, I don’t really think its a good comparison to this manhwa due to the fact it isn’t set in any extreme context in any way (disregarding the asshole). If anything try to compare these twos’ problem to human relationship problems which are usually more ‘normal’ in a sense that murder isn’t involved (specifically relationships where either the couples were able to get back to get or go separate paths due to the inferiority problem).

I get what you mean, I just felt really bad for Noah at the time, I know the examples I gave were weird, but that was kinda the point in that even though it doesn’t make a lot of sense (this is gonna sound confusing lol but when I said it made sense to me earlier I meant when they get angry cause they were ignored, not so much the break up or fighting part) the plot usually goes that way in whatever I’ve read (in other mangas) but that doesn’t mean this one will do the same, and I agree that other stories and webtoons (and less realistic mangas) aren’t a good comparison. Riley is honestly such an ass, I don’t care about how you wan’t your relationship to be open, being openly gay is hard no-less for openly dating (mlm/wlw). Forcing your partner is deadass such a dirty move and i’m glad Owen decided not to follow through. Riley’s ego is so big and it’s starting to annoy me. Literally what Tess did was SA whether you like it or not. Saying she’s 13 and it’s okay is SO disgusting it’s literally wrong whether Tess is a minor or not. Stop normalizing and giving Tess a pass for kissing Art without his consent cause it was blatant sexual assault. Being charged with sexual assault can happen at any age if you’re an adult or minor. What Tess did was kiss Arthur with him severely injured, so if you’re gonna say “if Art didn’t like it why didn’t he just push her away” or something use your brain, he’s I N J U R E D. He can’t even walk without a stick right now and thats when he was discharged, what more if he was still healing?
Tess literally is forcing herself on Art, it’s so blatant its annoying. How would all of you feel if you were uncomfortable about someone making moves on you? You would try to take it lightly and indirectly rejecting them by making them read the room cause you’re showing how uncomfortable you are, right? Of course I am not saying everyones the same, but in the context of this comic, it’s clear Art doesn’t want to shoot Tess down and hurt her feelings. Also something to note: it was a very quick kiss that was out of the blue. Tess just straight up did it and bolted, which doesn’t leave someone, even Art, a long time to react. If a childhood friend like mine kissed me out of NOWHERE, I’d be pretty dumbfounded too.
Art definitely froze up, because he was taken aback by the situation, he probably didn’t immediately push her away because it was someone he was comfortable with. Plus being injured (and I think he just woke up? I can’t really remember the chapter), his brain is probably lagging and not fully awake. Since it was a quick sort of, peck, and then she runs off, by the time Tess is running out the door, Arthur probably only just processed what’s happened.

I thought she will act more mature than her age because of the scene where Tess gave ellie a bow, which is different from other gifts. She was also thoughtful that time about Arthur giving his time for his family, but after the school arc, her attitude changed and become a spoiled brat.
The author put too much emphasis on building the character of Arthur (the protagonist) and forget that Tess (the FL) was poorly written character, the author must had think thoroughly when he or she started to add some romance in this manhwa.
