The artist really put so much love in this manhwa, goes to show how complex the dynamics between the characters. The micro expressions, gestures, and so on. I was so addocted to this. I know the novel and manhwa is toxic, one of the reason why my friends dislike this. But the way the artist recreated the scenes from the novel, I felt this thrill inside of me. Its like an addiction surging, especially during the action (real) scenes. I dont care about the smut that much, but everything else is just chefs kiss. Its my 4th reread of this manhwa and I hope the artist gets more peoject where they love it so much they would project that love in the manhwa, making a masterpiece like this again.

she should have just written something that relates korean history, they have slavery there back then anyway. Some koreans expressed that there are already other medias exploring that theme and her basing story off of it, as well as use it to educate people, would be a good fit. But her using US history despite being a Korean is such a weird decision, they say. And tbf, I dont even know why the editor team put an okay sign for this and was even promoted by Manta.
Also adding the part where MC feels like he needs to save the slave by freeing them... they were basically free tho? He lost the war. The slaves were free coz of it. He doesn't need to free them. Like???? It goes to show that either the author didn't research enough and just showed that he was far too kind for this world (bruh).
Anyway, I just saw this manhwa when I was filtering creation date and wow, this sht still not deleted. BTW, the author seems to like a buff tanned american so much that I feel like this gonna be just a fetish manhwa. People are glazing her coz she's Walk on Water artist but thats just a manhwa adaptation, she got a novel to rely on the plot. Sure, she got good artstyle but her og manhwa after that shows that plot wasnt one of her strongpoint (coz its mid). So I don't really trust her reasoning that "oh, it wouldnt be like that", which sounds insensitive af.
I hate myself for reading too much derange stuff my friends sent me for fun (they saw it was fucked up and decided to send it to us for the laughs and I FEKKKIN READ IT???) so this one feels like a breeze, not even as shocking compared to Mr. A's Farm. The one with the wolves reminded me of Evan's Secret by Ragno, but that one is much more deranged coz its Human Omega X Werewolf Alpha.
Wow its good, not that derange tho compared to 13 Doors where Belle got 13 species to serve in the basement but still i likw the ending here. Its HE~~
