Has anyone got any reccs for something just like this? Childhood friends, some spice, lots of plot, a little bit of drama?
“in between” on webtoons is alrightttt. it doesn’t compare but it fits all that criteria
I recently read In between and Childhood Friend Complex. Both very good, I love plot and I love the spiciness and the tension, however, the spicy scenes are a tease and there’s not a whole lot I got to see TT Anyone knows any 18+ webcomics (straight) with a good plot, bit of drama AND nice spicy scenes that don’t get skipped? I like the theme of coworkers, childhood friends, uni students and such!
People are so critical of Seola. She did a bad thing, but I come from a background like hers, it’s what made me develop BPD alongside other things. Growing up with immature parents (and that’s to put it lightly, there’s so much more that goes into it) messes up a kid a lot, so while it doesn’t excuse her actions, there’s a reason for it. She’s acting immaturely and impulsively and trying to protect herself while being constantly afraid. I have made a lot of mistakes as well, but after growing up and getting help, despite the struggles of bpd, I definitely changed and manage it better now. I have friends whom I care for immensely. Seola could use someone like Dana to change and I have high hopes that it will happen and she will be Dana’s ride or die. People like us are not monsters, we are misguided by the influence during our most important developmental years. The kind people I found in my life is what keeps me going now and I would do anything within my power to keep those kind people going too. Had I not met them and opened up to them, I’d be lost within myself without a purpose or not even here at all.
Give Seola a chance to become a better person. If she doesn’t after this immense kindness she will likely receive from Dana, then we’ll know she’s a lost cause. For me, I have my fingers crossed. People like us can be very loyal and caring, just need the right people to show us the way.
I get what you mean but I think it's fair that people are critical of Seola. Her "mistake" isn't just a lesson to be learned here - what she's done is incredibly serious. Her actions directly affected Dana and moreso, could've deeply left her in a way worse position (ie. expelled). Seola is incredibly lucky to have Dana be so empathetic and understanding. And I understand that we should give people chances. But in my opinion, Seola NEEDS to take responsibility here, own up to what she did and take whatever punishment the school would've given to Dana. If she doesn't do any of this, then this all just amounts to nothing for me. Sure, she's misguided and has a lot going on in her personal home but she needs to understand that her actions have deep consequences too. I also get that she's just a teenager but a reminder that so is Dana, and it's almost unfair for her to be put in a position to always give those who did her wrong, chances or any sort of grace.
I did not in any way, shape or form say she didn’t do anything wrong, and I also clarified her situation doesn’t excuse her actions, it only explains them. I wholeheartedly agreed that she did something bad, but that only people give her a chance to redeem herself, and if she chooses not to right her wrongs then that’s when I’d be more keen to dislike her as well. It’s not even about that Dana has to forgive her, it’s that Seola gets a chance to fix what she did, and whether Dana wants to forgive her or not is up to her. No one is owed forgiveness, but let’s be honest here, jumping on wanting Seola dead is too much.
