While I may not be a part of the lifestyle, I get so offended by how it's always portrayed in BL (as a vehicle for permitting & perpetuating assault). There was actually a clear discussion of a safeword, AND IT'S IMPORTANCE, they showed the sub as the one technically in charge, and there was even aftercare! And pretty clear differentiation as to when play stops & starts (hopefully there is more of a discussion about limits too - fingers crossed!) either way, me, a random person on the internet, is very pleased! It's interesting that it showed a horrible encounter at the start (he actually called it what it was and everyone knew that the police could (really they should have been) involved, but he still thought that he liked it. So we'll be able to compare that with someone who actually knows what they're doing, and watch him teach the MC what is safe, who is obviously very naive. So yay for not completely minimizing assault in BL! Really excited for this one!
