nah more like he composed himself and tried to talk to ML calmly not to provoke him since it could make things worse if MC panicked and lashed out at him (ik it's frustrating but i get MC's point in staying calm and acting nonchalant) and now he knew that ML is quite smart and can see through his act that's why he is now determined to do more than just talking things out.
