Some of you are asking why people don't like season 2 so I'll list most of the reasons and explain each one. If you wanna continue you don't necessarily have to let the comments get to you. But I'm warning you, in my opinion, all these reasons are right.

1. Artstyle
The art style in season 1 was rlly rlly unique. However, they switched the artist, making the art style in season 2 look hella generic. It matches the artstyle of many other action mangas. I wasn't even expecting it to change at all so that was disappointing. I'm aware it's not going to change back, so I'm not gonna reread Season 1 and waste my time.

2. Harem / Romance
When I was reading the novel I noticed it was getting harem-y but I ignored it. It's just not my cup of tea, I usually want action mangas to focus on action rather than romance. Most action mangas don't know how to balance it out. My Hero Academia knows how to and you feel like "omg I support this so much so cute, oh wow another action scene!". Mangas that don't know how to balance it out either make the ml a fucking creep, focus too much on it, or make it way way WAY too cheesy. Or, even worse, have the male lead spouting "I Love You" to every girl they meet like its nothing

3. Personality
What happened to the edginess? Frankly, I miss it, but it doesn't match with the hairstyle anyways. This leads me to my next point

4. WHY DID YOU CHANGE HIS HAIRSTYLE
so what if it was in his face, he could see just fine, clearly. Plus his hair color looked really cool and people would have been more receptive if you at least kept it. He could have just cut it shorter maybe but it was still kinda the same. Plus he could've spent the money on more clothes rather than changing to that mess of a hairstyle. But I think this one is just me because I will literally quit a series if I don't like the ml/fl's hairstyle

5. Atmosphere
Season 1 felt like a thriller/battle manga that made you hesitant to keep scrolling. It was gory, it was gruesome, I loved it. In Season 2, as I said before, it's GENERIC. The atmosphere used to be dark like something would just pop out at any moment. They can still continue that even in a facility, desert, woods, temple ANYWHERE.

These are the reasons why I and many others have quit. Please respect it, no shade. It's too bad because the artstyle and ml had so much potential. I also stopped reading the novel a few months ago but can't remember why.
Plus, I have a bone to pick with some publishers on this site, I never came for romance, and not adding a romance tag is misleading us and it's really rude tbh (not talking about this one, they added harem, but it wasn't there before)

If you read all this I applaud you, jeez
