For a long time I was annoyed with some shoujo manga because some authors sidelined the secondary characters in a way that made them seem like they were just there to fill space, but I think in this manga I can't stand it anymore. Other characters enter the story and get development time they don't even deserve sometimes, while our couple seems stuck in the same place... the relationship doesn't progress.
They’ve been the same for years and it’s getting really annoying. There’s zero development between them. Uka is getting on my nerves, too . Especially with the last few chapters with Momo. I think the author is trying too hard to make every single character they introduce “likable.”
At this point, I’m only reading to figure out when or how this ends.
I completely agree with you, although I love this manga very much, it has been a tiring read.
I did enjoy reading her change and flourish, but I feel like it’s at a standstill, now.
