Im sorry but if I had somebody in my friend group who doesn’t laugh nor smile and always tells the whole group at any given opportunity that he doesn’t think of them as friend, the way I would’ve dropped this friend so quickly is crazy. He doesn’t interact with people, people need to interact with him even though they’re friends?? Also the way he is a lil bitch, I get his character has to be like that but he is so unlikeable its actually driving me crazy. And if you wanna avoid people, just stop being friends with them wtf, i actually would’ve punched him long ago but that’s js me. Hoping the second couple is better

And dalgguk did not once act like maehwa did?? And also stiff or not, thats no excuse of telling the group you hang out with, that you don’t see them as friends. its common for introvert questioning their friendships especially with a person like jaewon who is popular & complete opposite of him. just like the prolog said, maehwa thought that they are like two separate line that will never intertwined (something like that). maehwa is kind & considerate etc & luckily jaewon see that good in him not only his surface level that's why he didn't take it to heart about maehwa saying all that and keep trying to be a close friend to him until maewha open up to him. that's literally how you make friend with introverts if your a person like jaewon. dropping friendship over that meaning deep down you don't really understand your introvert friends & yeah maybe it's the best for them if thats what you thought about them.

After that? you can see he really cares about them. he smiles in ch 5, he has lunch with yeonan in ch 17, that ch is definitely not the end of season 1 right?? also maehwa cried, and asked sehyung to eat cake with him, he agreed to watch a movie in the middle of the night with nannie, and many scenes showed the five of them hanging out together including maehwa. if he forced to have a relationship with them he wouldn't bother spending time with them, in fact maehwa want to be friends with them, willingly. you also know he got development, yet still called maehwa like that. shame on you, you just hate him in the first place

Shyness on other hand is an emotion, which mean anyone can have them. Even the most extrovert person can be a shy person too.
Unsocial is another personality trait. Being introvert doesn't mean you dont want to hang out with anyone ever. You will be surprised to know that many times its introvert who often initiate hang out event within a group

It doesn't mean he still has feelings for him romantically. And he called his new man "his knight in shining armor who fights all his doubts" so he loves the male lead. Furthermore, i think it's unfair of you to just say that about the mc when Taejoo also thinks of the mc years later. AND even the ml thinks of his best friend years later and holds on to the picture. They all have their demons and they will help each other heal, that's how mature and comlex emotions work
