Second time rereading. The first 40 chapters was 10/10, the banter was funny, the tension was high, their interaction was seamless, and then it went downhill and violent since the rape. I dont find the 1 week straight of sex appealing, dont know why bl authors love to include that

The writing is okay, however the plot is very 2010 wattpad tho. If you dont like naive, weak mc i dont think you should read further. Apart from being pretty and kind mc is not doing anythg else, hes very pitiful tho throughout the story.
Theres rape in this. Tiberius wanted to keep MC as his own slave however his father in law knew he was too infatuated with mc and decided to get rid of mc. Mc became a bedroom slave and was sold far far away for about 4 years before meeting Maximus, the blondie. I think thats the most pitiful part. Theres no hero or knight in shining armor who saves him for those 4 years. He became malnourished and suffered from the hands of the slave traders while taking care of his mother.
Meanwhile Tiberius who lives lavishly in Mc’s previous home was ‘suffering’ as a sex and drug addict while trying to find MC. Tbh thats bullsht, all of his inner monologues was about him playing victim and how he misses the mc. I would wait for the manhwa to adapt until Maximus found the MC at the slave trade. Otherwise my heart cant handle all his sufferings
I hava tried to look past ml’s behavior but man I still think hes a crazy asshole. How hard is it to say Im interested in you instead of doing this crazy sht. Mc has been very vocal about his boundaries, only to end up falling for this cheap plot. Highkey ml behavior a turn off, and hes expressionless throughout the manhwa like are u bored or smthg

Still not a fan of ML, but not to the point i hate him. Hes too forceful and very manipulative. Mc tells him one thing and he ALWAYS do the opposite. All his promises about no longer doing shady stuff were broken in less than a sec lmao, but hey at least he only kills bad guys right..? So evil cancel evil lmao (thats why im trying to tell myself). Tbh MC was slowly changing his morals (which I was a bit disappointed with), he does have doubt about ML being the guy behind the scene but still turned a blind eye to it. Yeah i know being righteous does not alwys bring justice but maybe im just not a fan of how ML conducts things.
The family feud is still my fave up till the end of the chapter. It was hinted that MC saw a family with kids and found them cute. I wish we have side story of mc being pregnant and them just being a family
