killing stalking stalking is indeed not a yaoi, I think the author themselves has stated that a long time ago. It’s psychological horror/thriller that just so happens to have queer characters, but genre wise it’s not yaoi.

Notice how everyone says this but never manages to find out where the author said that because she didn't say that, it wasn't focused on bl ofc everyone knows the main focus was psychological thriller. Although she has said she didn't want to romanticize the relationship between an abuser and that of a victim as it often happens in bls and most media, she never denied the bits of "romantic" aspect in the manhwa. Lmao I know this is a reply from 6 months ago but thank you for this. At least there's someone with brains out there. Another thing to add is that why can't BL not have psychological thriller? Are queer stories only allowed to be the typical queer stories fujos are accustomed to? Do people not understand that media can contain more than 1 genre? Are only straight stories allowed to be considered psychological thriller ? Like whether weird gatekeepers with internalized misogyny and homophobia like it or not, killing stalking is very much a yaoi through and through. Yaoi thrillers exist just as much as straight thrillers do.
