I thought he knew she approached him with ulterior motives?or did he really realised she actually approached him with ulterior motives and now that he’s really into her feels hurt ? Imo, shi yan know that she's getting close to him for ulterior motives, although he didn't know what that was but he didn't mind because he probably thought it's only for connection (her career) or something. What hurts him was to found out that he was being used to get revenge on her ex.
Especially how his niece said that shuyi didn't love the guy she dated before the uncle since it's only for revenge (his niece didn't know that was actually shi yan). So he just thought that everything she did was for her ex, not him, and how everything is fake.

I really hope that the woman who tries to stab the fl gets saved. Her act was selfish obvi but it came from her intention to save the fl and she thought it was the only was to save each other

I like to think that the author decided to draw the ml taking a contraceptive (oral pill) to kind of highlight the problem regarding contraception. This is a real issue in society and this manhwa might help the readers know that there are multiple ways to prevent pregnancy and that the woman isn’t the only one who has to take a pill that has secondary effects. Right now it seems that male contraceptive pills have still not been available in the market, but I hope that one day that option will be available offering new options for everyone.
