I knew BL since I've been watching anime which is since I was elementary but I wasn't hooked up not until Haikyuu got released.. I shipped Kageyama and Hinata then found myself looking up for Djs and that's how I got hooked on BL/yaoi. Best decision ever.
I started reading BL like a year and a half ago and I liked it because I used to read straight romance a lot but it would be so bad to the point where the only joy I would have in reading it is telling my mom funny stories about how cliche they were. Then, I came across yaoi and these stories actually made me cry and squeal and all that shit like it was just amazing and then I couldn't stop, so yeah :)

Best part of BL is how some of it is pure love and I like how it seems like gender doesn't matter if a person falls in love then thats that.. (=・ω・=)
one time i accidentally stumbled across some fluffy yaoi on webtoon (its just a manga app that you can download) but before that i was reading i guess you could say "normal" romance manga and i was so confused because i didnt know these types of manga existed and one day when i was on tiktok i came across a tiktok talking about BL and in the comments were saying you could read it on here so that how i came to find these types of manga and now i am obsessed ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
1. Plot that I don't usually read in Shojou manga that seriously gave me some hype like little butterfly in my stomach. (Since growing up the only genre that I always read were Shojou or any straight manga xD) 2. First the plot, the lines especially when they really hit from the bottom of my heart like the struggle being part of the gay community something like that haha. 3. Curiosity!!! I like I said I been only reading Shojou since I dunno. Haha! Then the first time I read a bl which is the 'At The end of the road' it gave me this woah feeling that I wanted to dig more. And now I'm a late bloomer fujoshi hahaha

I understand what you mean but please don't use 'normal'. Just use 'Hetero' romance stories. Using 'normal' implies that homosexual relationships are 'abnormal'. It's just a concept that we would like to avoid. Gay relationships are not 'exotic'.

Oh no, I'm not mad! I assume english is not your native language, so it's perfectly fine that you would not be able to voice your thoughts properly. Just keep my words in mind, and use what I said in future discussions!

Thank you for your responses! Actually, I, myself doesn't know what to talk for tomorrow's informal discussion as to why we like BL. Your answers help!
