Yeah I stopped reading it back when it didn’t have so many chapters because I realized I was missing a fuck ton of context. I was supposed to read the other story but i haven’t been able to because it just doesn’t interest me like this one. Not sure if i should tough it out and ignore the confusion or force myself to read the other story one

Hmm, you don't really have to read all of them. Somebody listed down all the necessary chapters in the 1st story to understand this one. You might need to scroll quite a bit in the comments to find it though.
The story was good and I enjoyed reading it. I will honestly have to say the ending wasn't as good as I hoped it would be. I found it a bit confusing and not as satisfying as it could have been, maybe there will be side stories that could maybe make it a bit better. Still I would recommend it to anyone interested but read the warnings
I would have loved it to be longer, but I still enjoyed it a lot. The clothes were drawn beautifully and as a flower lover I really enjoyed the flower theme
