No, it was her father/family wish for her to fail. She wants to be Empress to prevent her family's tragedy from their last life. I don't see the point in being Empress if the whole thing from last life was set up cause the older sister loved the king and the other redhead just set her up to be killed. If it was political then yeah I understand why she would want to marry him to prevent it. We don't know the real reason either cause no one thought to tell MC for whatever reason.

That is all this manga is about lately is MISUNDERSTANDINGS, Ugh! I haven't read it in a while because it hasn't progressed at all lately. This manga is at a stall. Don't get me wrong, I love this manga but lately I haven't read it because nothing exciting has happened. After all this time, it is obvious how these two feel about each other and I will not read this until something good starts happening. Over 42 volumes later and still no relationship??? This is becoming costly for a series with nothing happening later. It kind of feels like anime where they have a lot of "Fillers" and no main story happening. I come to read the reviews and until I see it getting exciting again... I won't be reading this anytime soon. I am currently reading less stressful and dramatic manga's, lol
Me too honestly. The less stressful the manga is, the happier I am and I'm not having thoughts of wanting to kill the main girl/guy for the decision. I came back to read it again to see if anything happens but no. Just a bunch more misunderstandings. Other people had already gotten together already! I'm a bit disappointed with the direction its going. I get that it's so suppose build up but nothing is happening for anything to build up. It's just building with a lot of gunk that's unneeded. I do love skip beat that I've read it and bought it but lately, I just don't like where it's going. I'm just hoping for things to happen but it's slower than a turtle! Kyoko needs to get a grip. No matter how naive you are, you shouldn't be that clueless. I mean I am clueless on things too but there's things like the damn internet that apparently doesn't exist for Kyoko to look up things. Her personality right now is a bit annoying. I love her but girl get it together already and stop assuming sh*t and just talk to Ren! Ren also needs to get his sh*t together and just talk to her. TALK DAMN IT! JUST TALK!
I love the arc where Ren played Cain and Kyoko was his sister. That was the best arc yet and that is when Kyoko realized she was in love with Ren and since then it has stalled. How many more manga's will I have to buy before the story moves and gets exciting again. We are on Vol 42 and still nothing but misunderstanding on a kiss from an actress who did it on purpose? Why do people hate talking and voicing their opinions so much when they're confused? God this is so frustrating cause the bottom just loves to think and the seme just loves to shut up. I'm still gonna read but I wanna bang my head on something and then bang their head against each other due to the frustration of their great communication

But seriously, one of my biggest pet peeves is when characters have a major event happen to them and then they say….absolutely nothing??? Like?? You got NOTHING to say to that???? + vice versa when characters say all sorts of shit no one in real life would say aloud but of course they decide to monologue aloud and then !surprise! They get discovered a moment later when they simply could have just thought the stuff they spoke.

The author probably wanted to write a slow burn but didn't know how so they just made the characters plain stupid and just not talk about anything relevant for 50 chapters lol
