Ryan was just way too strong for his core to get destroyed...if you think about it immediately after that incident he went away to sleep for a decade and even then he was able to hold on only for an year and half max ...he was resisting the vs solution.

I really wish we got some side stories ( lily and felix , claude and diana , the princess with her love interest)
This is literally my 20th time reading their first life and i still cry, actually cried not just teared.
Even if there is a gap of half an hour between each one i still cry.
