I understand the overall of the love story of these two but I don’t understand the part of the blonde guy work related things yk near the last chapter they complicated with some reporters or stuffs…I keep reading but I don’t get it.

This one is really so good!!! Her mother is so intelligent & told her to act tough is the right thing to survive in the palace cuz imagine if something happens to her then Talia has to survive alone. Talia thinks that her mother doesn’t love her but I think her mother loves her a lot & that’s why she made her achieve things by herself.
the thing is, its cruel ... she could have told talia in a different manner, and that she loves her (if she does love her). its sad that even if her mother wanted her to be strong, that she did not at least let talia knew that her mother will always lover her
I think Talia would not have been this strong if she has her mother in the back cuz yk telling “I love you” is easy but she is a kid so she’d rely on her mother a lot. I’m not sure but her mother is alone & maybe that’s why Senevier is so strong to achieve what she wants.

I can understand wanting your child to stand up for themselves and adapt, but I don’t think she had to be that harsh about it. Talia was scared, alone and everyone was against her. She’s only 9
You can see that even after her daughters telling her all about how literal ADULTS are attacking her, she’s disinterested. Not a word of comfort, just, survive on your own.
Cuz her mother can’t defend her always!! What if she got poisoned & died then Talia will left alone in that harsh world. That time they’d bully her more !!! Idk if u’d understand but I understand her mother’s actions cuz she even gave Vakas as a present to stay beside her for seven years &

nah i think senevier got what she wanted bcs she thinks of other people as pawns but i get that u mean talia will probably lean on her mother more but idk, probably explaining to your child in detail why you do shit is gonna help her be less traumatised w the palace and the people. shes 9, and even younger when she was brought in the palace. senevier could at least be her solace ykwim ? give her a little, it doesnt have to be much, but just a little comfort. and since u replied to other comments down here abt spoilers, (i'll take that you read the novel) i hope that theres a scene or a chapter where senevier actually shows her love for both her children
